The New York Times has published its list of best-selling business books for July, 2026 – These six are terrific!
The New York Times has published its list of best-selling business books for July, 2026.
Of the ten books on this month’s list, I have presented synopses of six of them at the First Friday Book Synopsis in Dallas.
My synopses are thorough and comprehensive.
I read the books; you get the insights.
At the top of this month’s list, yet again, is The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins. She has held that spot for quite some time.
In second place is Atomic Habits by James Clear. That book has been at or near the top of this list since Abraham Lincoln was president. OK, not quite that long—but it certainly feels that way!
The six books I have presented are: Atomic Habits, Unreasonable Hospitality, The Creative Act: A Way of Being, Extreme Ownership, Never Split the Difference, and 1929.
- Atomic Habits — Read it to learn how small, consistent changes in your daily habits can produce remarkable long-term results.

- Unreasonable Hospitality — Read it to discover how extraordinary service and genuine care can transform customers, teams, and organizations.
- The Creative Act: A Way of Being — Read it to develop a more creative way of thinking about work, life, and the process of bringing ideas into the world.
- Extreme Ownership — Read it to learn why the best leaders take complete responsibility for results and build teams that consistently perform.
- Never Split the Difference — Read it to master practical negotiation techniques that help you persuade others and achieve better outcomes in business and life.
- 1929 — Read it to understand how the stock market crash of 1929 unfolded and the timeless financial and human lessons it still teaches today.
Unreasonable Hospitality is practically the modern-day bible on exceptional customer service—or, more accurately, on building teams that consistently deliver exceptional customer service.
Extreme Ownership is on my list of five leadership books that I consider essential reading for leaders and aspiring leaders.
And all six of these books are absolutely worth your time.
