This morning, at the February 7 First Friday Book Synopsis, we had a great, large group filling the room for a wonderful Park City Club breakdfast, holding countless conversations, and listening to synopses of two really good books.
I presented my synopsis of the new Jocko Willink book, Leadership Strategy and Tactics: Field Manual; and the modern business classic, The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber. Both ere absolutely worth taking a close look at. I will post my lessons and takeaways for each book in the coming days on this blog, And my synopses of these books, with the audio recording of my presentations, along with my comprehensive, multi-page handouts, will be available soon from the “buy synopses” tab at the top of the is page. (You can always click here to see our newest additions. New synopses are added about 2-3 weeks after our monthly event).
What makes our monthly First Friday Book Synopsis events so valuable? In addition to the food and conversations, this is a true focused-learning event. People walk away knowing the key content of two important, useful books.
And we will soon begin our 23rd year of these monthly learning sessions (in April).
For our March 6 First Friday Book Synopsis, I have selected the new Peter Diamandis book on the technological future coming at us faster and faster; and the new “Comeback Careers” advice from Mika Brzezinski and her sister-in-law, Genny Brzezinski.
You will be able to register soon from the home page of this web site for the March session of the First Friday Book Synopsis. Here is the flier (below) with all the details.
Remember, KEEP LEARNING! Because, there is always the next good book to read; there is always the next new thing to learn!
