We had a wonderful morning at the March 1 First Friday Book Synopsis. This morning completed 21 full years of our monthly gatherings. So, next month, April 5, we will begin our 22ndyear of the First Friday Book Synopsis.
The purpose has always remained the same. In an environment of great networking, along with a really good Park City Club breakfast, we present two full synopses of useful, valuable business books. Since my former colleague Karl Krayer had to end his participation because of health issues in late 2017, I have generally presented both synopses each month.
This morning, I presented synopses of AI Superpowers by Kai-Fu Lee, and The Fearless Organization by Amy Edmondson. Both are excellent books! I will post my lessons and takeaways from each of these books in the coming days on this blog (in two separate posts), and my synopses will soon be available to purchase from this site. Each synopsis comes with the audio recording of my presentation, and the pdf of the comprehensive, multi-page synopsis handout. (Click here for the newest additions).
Next month, to launch our 22nd year, I chose two more valuable and important books: The Industries of the Future by Alec Ross, and the new best seller, Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World by Cal Newport. (I previously presented my synopsis of Cal Newport’s terrific and needed book, Deep Work).
You will be able to register soon for our April 5 gathering from this web site. Please plan to join us.
